New Year’s Resolutions You’ll Actually Keep
With the New Year only days away, it’s safe to say we’re all doing a little self-reflecting. Resolving to be better, promising to eat healthier, and live a more productive life in general are all well and good, but let’s face it, New Year’s resolutions are easier said than done. The key is setting resolutions that you’ll actually keep. I’ve come up with a list that is short, sweet, and isn’t a set up for failure.
This list of New Year’s Resolutions is geared towards guys, but can definitely apply to ladies as well.
- Clean out your closet.
Quit letting old duds take up space in your closet. If it’s something that you don’t like or never wear, then it needs to go. Donate it, give it to a friend, throw it away, do what you gotta do. Just stop hanging on to unnecessary items.
- Improve your fitness routine and eating habits.
Whether this means hitting the gym more frequently or just reaching for the chips less often, finding ways to take better care of yourself is never a bad thing.
P.S. it never hurts to look good while doing this, so shop here.
- Spend less time in front of a screen.
The world will not stop turning if you don’t refresh your newsfeed 25 times a day. You might actually discover that you enjoy the real world and real people around you more than the cyber world if you sign out every now and again.
- Be more proactive.
In general, just get your stuff together, man. Winterize your car before it snows. Stock up on all of your must-haves for Spring Break when you book your trip. Repair your bean bags and buy a new cooler before summer bbqs start again. Don’t let yourself be unprepared for things you know are coming up.
- Manage your finances.
Set a budget or at least open a savings account. It will pay off in the long run.
What other resolutions are you setting this year?
