Lokai Joins the Fight Against Breast Cancer

Hello October!

One of my favorite months of the year is finally here. When I think about October, a few things come to my mind instantly. Bon fires, hay rides, riding boots, pumpkin spice everything just to name a few. I absolutely love October for so many reasons, but this year I’m even more excited about the month for a completely different reason. This year lokai, the company that we all know and love, has partnered with Susan G Komen to create a limited edition pink bracelet that will only be available in October.

If (somehow) you are unfamiliar with lokai, let me introduce you to your new favorite brand. lokai bracelets are more than just a trendy piece of jewelry made famous by celebs like Justin Bieber and Ashley Greene. They are intended to represent the highs and lows of life with beads containing elements from Mt. Everest and the Dead Sea. Founder, Steven Izen created these bracelets to spread a hopeful message. He said, “I brought these two key elements together because life is full of cycles. The rest of the beads are clear, because we all have our own story of balance to tell.”

The classic lokai bracelet is clear and 10% of the profits are given to a variety of charitable alliances, but the company has also partnered with specific charities including Charity Water and the WWF to release colored limited-edition bracelets to raise awareness for their causes. Their newest limited-edition lokai bracelet was created to support breast cancer research through the Susan G Komen organization. lokai has partnered with them to help further Komen’s mission to not only save lives, but to find a cure for this deadly disease.

If raising awareness and showing support for the fighters and survivors isn’t amazing enough, Lokai has pledged to donate $1 to Susan G. Komen for each pink lokai bracelet sold between September 13th, 2015 and October 31st, 2015 with a minimum
contribution of $250,000. If you want to join lokai and Susan G Komen in the fight against breast cancer, you can head to your local Glik’s! We will have the limited-edition bracelets available as long as supplies last.
