The Blanket Scarf
For the past few seasons, the plaid blanket scarf has been the must-have accessory for fashion lovers everywhere. Not only does it serve a functional purpose and keep you warm on those chilly fall days, but it also offers endless styling opportunities making it a versatile piece well worth the investment.
You already learned how to wear the blanket scarf here, but in order to keep this trendy piece relevant in your wardrobe; you also need to know what to wear your plaid scarf with.
Outfit Inspiration
This outfit should be a staple in your fall wardrobe rotation for so many reasons. Not only is it practical for every day wear, but it is also requires minimal effort. Each piece offers versatility, so you won’t be limited in your styling options. I’ve chosen a pair of Flying Monkey jeans, a basic long sleeve thermal from Able, a killer navy blue Fate vest, and our plaid blanket scarf (of course). This outfit works because it is understated and will leave you looking put together. Also, the navy blue vest has a mixed texture that contrasts nicely against the colors in the plaid scarf.
The Infinity Scarf
Equally as wonderful as the blanket scarf is the infinity plaid scarf. Let’s be honest, most of us spend an overabundance of time trying to turn our blanket scarves into infinity scarves anyway, so this new style is a Godsend.
Outfit Inspiration
To style this plaid scarf, I’ve selected a military inspired jacket from Amuse Society, a neutral colored striped shirt from Ginger G, and the same pair of Flying Monkeys from the first photo (see, they are a versatile pant!). Mixing patterns like the stripes in this shirt and the plaid scarf is a huge trend right now. Don’t be afraid to take a risk and be a little more fashion forward when styling your plaid scarf.
Gotta have it? Both of these must-have scarves will be available (at a special price, yay!) on gliks.com starting Monday, July 13th.
