How to Layer This Spring with Kimonos and Wraps

Kimonos and ruana wraps have be on trend the past few seasons and this spring will be no different. A lot of people might think that layering stops when the weather warms up, but don’t buy into the myth! Cute kimonos and wraps are in every boutique I go to and they’re all over my Instagram feed. These trendy layering pieces will help your outfit stay on point, no matter what the weather throws at you. Plus, they give a boho vibe to any outfit.

Wondering how to layer these pieces? Kimonos and ruana wraps can be styled with almost anything you have in your closet, from skinny jeans and heels or even layered over your favorite dresses.

Here’s how I style my current favorite ruana wrap and kimonos:

ruana-wrapruana-wrapsblock-heelsI absolutely love the colors and pattern of this ruana wrap!  I styled it with my favorite jeggings by Flying Monkey and a Piko top that I knotted in the front. Can we talk about these sandals for a second? I’m loving the thick straps and chunky block heel. They definitely complete this outfit!

This paisley patterned kimono is a must for spring.  It definitely adds a little flair to my basic olive green Piko dress.  To complete the look, I added a pair of tall metallic gladiator sandals and some gold accessories.  Can you say boho chic?

This is my favorite combination.  I’ll admit, I’m addicted to Piko shirts… and I’m not sorry.  They just look so good with everything and they’re super comfy!  For this outfit, I paired the Look by M Diamond Patterned Kimono with a navy Piko top and a pair of destructed boyfriend jeans.  I added a strappy block heeled sandal to complete my look.  This to me,  is the perfect outfit because it’s so versatile.  I can wear it out shopping with my bestie or I can wear it out to dinner with a simple change of jewelry.

Speaking of versatility, these kimonos and ruana wraps will take you far past spring fashions. You’ll easily be able to add these pieces to your summer wardrobe!  Instead of wearing them with a long sleeved or 3/4 sleeve top, wear them with a tank top or even as a swimsuit cover up.
