Okay, so winter may not be my favorite season, but there is always one thing that I love about cold days, and that’s the sweater options! There is something almost magical about getting a new sweater and the Main Strip Frayed Vneck Sweater is a sweater that I have been absolutely smitten with since the first time laid eyes on it. This frayed cropped sweater comes in mustard, grey, mauve, and ivory, which are all beautiful muted tones that go well with whatever shoes, pants, or jeans you can think to wear them with. Definitely one of my favorite things about this sweater is how many things I can wear it with and feel like am an actual vogue-fashionista-model. This sweater makes it easy to look cute and it is the kind of comfy feel-good sweater that you naturally gravitate to!
Another major plus about this sweater is that it can be transitioned into all the seasonal outfits you can think of. Right now I like to wear it with my black ripped Silver denim and throw on my Levi’s denim jacket for a little more edge (and maybe a CC Beanie for a little more warmth)! For a relaxed lazy weekend look, I love this sweater with my high waisted light washed denim and some fuzzy socks when I hang out at my friends’ homes. But as soon as the weather warms up, I cannot wait to style this sweater with a bralette, a faux suede taupe skirt, and ankle booties, for a look to wear at the office or a casual night out!
The Main Strip Frayed Vneck Sweater is the kind of quintessential piece for your wardrobe! No matter what the temperature may be outside this sweater will be there for any look. Now sweater weather can officially last forever (maybe without the cold weather part though). To shop these looks be sure to head to Gliks.com!
Cozy Cardis For the Win
Snuggle up this winter with a cardigan that will be sure to keep you warm. This Love Stitch Cardigan will be your new favorite cardigan. It is has long sleeves, a hood, and is extremely soft! You’ll love this cardigan so much that you will want one in every color! This layering piece is so simple that it’ll become your go-to piece this winter.
My favorite thing about over-sized cardigans is that they are super versatile! (In particular this long sleeve hooded cardigan in brick from Love Stitch Clothing.) Cozy cardigans are very easy to style and look great on all body types! They can be dressed up or down, which makes them great for a night out with friends or to quickly grab while on the run doing errands or going to class!
For a casual look, pair this hooded cardigan with a graphic tee or tank, a pair of leggings, and your favorite Converse or fashion sneakers. I also love to add a CC Beanie to my look, especially during the winter months! To dress it up, wear the cardigan over a fashion tee, distressed denim, a chunky knit scarf (like this Free People Fringe Scarf) and over the knee boots. Whatever you decide, you’ll be sure to stay in style with this cozy hooded cardigan from Love Stitch Clothing!
Boot Socks + Ankle Boots
Typically, when I think of boot socks, I imagine pairing them with classic riding boots. However, I’ve seen a ton of fashion bloggers and Instagram stars wearing a pair scrunched down with ankle boots. So unexpected and so cute! The key to achieving this look is to find a pair of socks that aren’t too thick and can be pushed down a few inches above your boots.
Boot Socks + Riding Boots
For a classic look, boot cuffs also look great with riding boots! The important thing to remember when styling your socks or boot cuffs with taller boots is to choose a pair that is long enough to peek above the top of the boot. This looks best with skinny jeans or leggings!
Thankfully, these adorable accessories are starting to hit gliks.com! If you’re looking for a little something extra to pair with your dresses, skinny jeans, and Piko sweaters this season, we’ve got you covered.
Once you grab a pair (or two), I’d love to hear how you style your boot socks! Are you stepping outside the box and wearing them with ankle boots? Or are you staying perfectly classy and pairing your boot socks with riding boots?
The Blanket Scarf
For the past few seasons, the plaid blanket scarf has been the must-have accessory for fashion lovers everywhere. Not only does it serve a functional purpose and keep you warm on those chilly fall days, but it also offers endless styling opportunities making it a versatile piece well worth the investment.
You already learned how to wear the blanket scarf here, but in order to keep this trendy piece relevant in your wardrobe; you also need to know what to wear your plaid scarf with.
This outfit should be a staple in your fall wardrobe rotation for so many reasons. Not only is it practical for every day wear, but it is also requires minimal effort. Each piece offers versatility, so you won’t be limited in your styling options. I’ve chosen a pair of Flying Monkey jeans, a basic long sleeve thermal from Able, a killer navy blue Fate vest, and our plaid blanket scarf (of course). This outfit works because it is understated and will leave you looking put together. Also, the navy blue vest has a mixed texture that contrasts nicely against the colors in the plaid scarf.
The Infinity Scarf
Equally as wonderful as the blanket scarf is the infinity plaid scarf. Let’s be honest, most of us spend an overabundance of time trying to turn our blanket scarves into infinity scarves anyway, so this new style is a Godsend.
To style this plaid scarf, I’ve selected a military inspired jacket from Amuse Society, a neutral colored striped shirt from Ginger G, and the same pair of Flying Monkeys from the first photo (see, they are a versatile pant!). Mixing patterns like the stripes in this shirt and the plaid scarf is a huge trend right now. Don’t be afraid to take a risk and be a little more fashion forward when styling your plaid scarf.
Gotta have it? Both of these must-have scarves will be available (at a special price, yay!) on gliks.com starting Monday, July 13th.
