What to Wear for Valentine’s Day: Outfit Ideas

Valentine’s day, you either love it or hate it (for whatever reason). This day is meant to be spent full of love and laughter with family and friends. Chocolate covered strawberries, funny yet meaningful Valentine’s cards, conversation hearts, roses, and everything splattered with red and pink hues are the general thoughts that come to mind when you think of Valentine’s Day! But, have you given much thought as to what new clothes you are going to buy for this day?! Whether you have a big romantic date planned or some non-negotiable plans with Netflix, takeout, and your couch, do not forget to find the perfect outfit! The best part – these looks are perfect for Spring-time so you don’t have to worry about investing in an outfit that you’ll only wear once a year in February.

Pretty Polka Dots

2

Jumpsuits are up trending in 2019 because they are SO versatile. We just got in this sweet polka dot midi jumpsuit from Everly Clothing and it just gives us good feelings.  The black and white coloring allows you to wear this from the office to date night. Since the weather is still on the cold side, we threw on a chunky chenille sweater from Miracle over the top! Layering jumpsuits is a great way to transition your wardrobe from winter to spring.  To dress this look up, we paired it with a basic black heel – but sneakers or sandals would look just as cute!

Sweet Styles

1

This look is the epitome of Spring fashion! We love everything about this outfit since you can wear all of the pieces individually and mix & match the clothes you already have stocked in your closet.  It is finally time to break out the white denim, so go ahead and invest in a quality pair from KanCan Jeans.  A simple lightweight sweater with darling shoulder details, like this number from Elan Clothing, kicks this look up a notch! If you get cold, simply throw on a classic jean jacket and you’re all set. Add some sparkle to this #ootd by accessorizing with a long necklace, statement earrings, or even a wide-brimmed hat!

Romantic Ruffles

3

If you’re ready to wear dresses all the time (in an attempt to avoid actually wearing pants) say I? IIIIIIIIII 😉 This romantic wrap dress has a great silhouette with an adjustable tie waist and appropriate v-neckline.  The soft colors included in the striped design give just enough pop while not becoming overbearing.  These photos do not do this Lush Clothing dress justice! If you are worried about being too chilly, throw on a cardigan or denim jacket over the top or opt for over the knee boots instead of heels or wedges!

Classic Combo

4

This last look can definitely be modified to suit your individual style, but we can’t get enough of a good basic look.  This simple outfit still screams elegance and style due to the shoulder detail and choker neckline look, without the bold “Valentine’s Day” colors. Miracle Clothing has amazing sweaters for year-round style and we can’t get enough. We paired the trendy sweater with a pair of distressed denim jeans from KanCan and the same neutral block heels from earlier.  Style tip: front tuck your sweater to accentuate and slim your waistline while showing off your trendy belt buckle!

How You Need to Be Wearing White Denim This Season

How to wear White Denim

White denim has always been a thing, but if you have ever been wary of the white denim trend, it’s time to face your fears! LUCKILY, there are so many styles or ways you can wear white denim, so you don’t have to just do the classic white skinny jean (but classics, are classics for a reason). You can mix up the white denim trend and try a denim skirt, or a pair of shortalls, or a trendy skort.

White denim can either be a statement piece for your outfit or it can be a way to showcase your favorite piece of clothing. This must have item makes any outfit look clean and fresh, which is perfect for summer, but you better believe that these can also roll you into fall (but that’s a blog post for another day.) Here are 4 ways you need to try wearing your white denim this season.

Monochromatic White Denim trend

Monochromatic: White denim with a white top, is definitely the most daring of all the white denim trends. But to make it easier, just remember that you probably also loved the all black wardrobe trend and this is basically the same thing but the more summer friendly version of the two (aka less likely to absorb all those warm little sun rays). This look is so clean and simple, without a doubt it will make you look sophisticated and put together.

White Denim with a Pop of Color

A Pop of Color: Basically, the same concept as the monochromatic look, but throw some of your favorite pieces on there to make them really stand out. Your outfit becomes the canvas and you get to showcase whatever trendy item you wanna show off! I recommend, a jean jacket or any other of your favorite dressier outerwear pieces. If it’s too hot for a jacket, throw on some statement earrings, a daring shoe choice, or a colorful bag. You can even opt for a more muted pop of color with a simple beige or a light blue.

Statement tops with white jeans

A Statement Top: A lot of jeans can take away from a beautiful statement top, but with a pair of white jeans you are making sure that the shirt that “you just need to have or you would die” is the center of attention!  A pair of white jeans also makes that shirt that otherwise might have been borderline casual, an office ready look! Then you can throw on a neutral shoe to accent the top more, or grab a statement shoe choice to compliment your blouse.

Casual outfit with white jean

Casual: A tee shirt and a pair of jeans, is always a good idea. AGAIN, (sorry I sound like a broken record over here) white denim elevates your jean and tee style! Classic denim shorts, for example, tend to be casual style piece, but white denim shorts look mature and classy with whatever you wear them with! So whether you throw on a basic graphic tee or a solid colored tank, you cannot go wrong with a basic tee and some white denim.

White denim is definitely a great option if you want to raise the denim bar. All it takes is one simple piece of denim to help you create very different styles.
