Lately every blog has been about how excited I am about spring being sooooo close and sorry, but here is another one. I mean winter clothes are cute too so don’t get me wrong about that, but GIMME ALL THE SPRING DRESSES ALREADY!! Here at Glik’s we have been getting in all our spring clothing and oh my goodness are they the epitome of all the good things that I cannot wait for with warmer weather.
A good spring dress is such a vital investment us girls make every season. The spring dress is the essential piece we wear to outdoor weddings, surprise date nights, summer music concerts, and probably on a couple warm autumn days when we refuse to wear those jeans quite yet.
Here are just a few of the spring dress that I am in love with (plus a couple footwear options to go with it!)…
The Amuse Society Faux Wrap Dress is a nice longer sleeved dress but still with the mini length look. This dress is perfect for the wedding receptions or days you have to go to class all day long. Plus this vintage inspired dress in stripe print is really trending right now and this surplice style dress gives everyone a flattering shape. I love them with the Qupid Shoes Prenton Perforated Ankle Booties in black but for a more casual look try the Soda Shoes More Ankle Booties.
The Fate Sleeveless Ruffle Bodycon Dress in black has the ruffle sleeveless design I cannot get enough of! This could be your new LBD or just a fun dress to throw on before a spontaneous night out with friends. Try it with a pair of knee high boots or with the Soda Shoes Arya Perforated Cut Out Heels.
The Elan Clothing High Neck Sleeveless Dress in Sage is a gorgeous shade of green that just reminds us of all the May flora that I cannot wait for. This dress is super comfortable and is made of a lightweight stretch knit fabric. The Qupid Chamber Distressed Strappy Heels look perfect with this shift dress, but I also love them with the Bork Toe Loop Sandals for when you just need an outfit to run to get ice cream with friends.
The Everly Clothing Striped Midi Dress is one of our newest arrivals. With a midi style and the flattering stripe this dress will easily be a go to for whatever event you have this season. This Striped Midi Dress will be perfect for day or night! Plus this dress has pockets, and who doesn’t love that! This dress is going to look great with a denim jacket or a cardigan on those chillier spring nights. For a simple look try it with the Bork Ankle Strap Toe Loop in Taupe or dress it up with your favorite booties.
If you weren’t ready for spring yet, you definitely have spring fever after seeing these warm weather dresses. These four dresses are perfect because you can easily dress them up or down depending on shoes and accessories. For even more spring fever check out Gliks.com!
Nautical stripes were all the rage in 2017, but in 2018 we are changing directions, literally, with vertical stripes. Be ready to want a pinstripe pattern in at least three different styles this spring! Whether the classic collared, the front tie, the off the shoulder, or the flirty jumper, we have all the styles at Gliks and we are dying to share with you what we think will be one of the classiest looks this season.
One of the best things about a striped shirt is that it is a neutral style and color, so it can go with whatever you pair it with. So go ahead and wear it with your burgundy moto leggings, your dark wash denim, your light wash denim, or your classic boyfriend jeans. For a stand out look, try mixing it with other patterns, like a pair of printed shorts or with your floral embroidered jeans or skirt.
Since this is a neutral for your wardrobe, you can wear the vertical stripe with your brown suede booties, or your black strappy sandals. Also, try wearing whatever odd colors of shoes you have stashed in the back of your closet, time to break ’em out since there is officially something to match them with! Basically, the striped shirt is a dream come true in the mornings when you want to throw some clothes on but don’t want to waste the effort of finding all the “right” things to match with it. Now everything is fair game!
To make the striped shirt even better, it’s one of the most flattering prints. The vertical stripes create a small optical illusion to make us all a little taller and a little leaner. This style will help us get those New Years Resolutions bods we swore we’d get this year.
What ever style of the vertical stripe you decide to try, it’ll be a versatile addition to your wardrobe. So go ahead, ‘add to cart’ with the guilt free knowledge that the stripe pattern will be your new favorite print of the season.
Okay, so winter may not be my favorite season, but there is always one thing that I love about cold days, and that’s the sweater options! There is something almost magical about getting a new sweater and the Main Strip Frayed Vneck Sweater is a sweater that I have been absolutely smitten with since the first time laid eyes on it. This frayed cropped sweater comes in mustard, grey, mauve, and ivory, which are all beautiful muted tones that go well with whatever shoes, pants, or jeans you can think to wear them with. Definitely one of my favorite things about this sweater is how many things I can wear it with and feel like am an actual vogue-fashionista-model. This sweater makes it easy to look cute and it is the kind of comfy feel-good sweater that you naturally gravitate to!
Another major plus about this sweater is that it can be transitioned into all the seasonal outfits you can think of. Right now I like to wear it with my black ripped Silver denim and throw on my Levi’s denim jacket for a little more edge (and maybe a CC Beanie for a little more warmth)! For a relaxed lazy weekend look, I love this sweater with my high waisted light washed denim and some fuzzy socks when I hang out at my friends’ homes. But as soon as the weather warms up, I cannot wait to style this sweater with a bralette, a faux suede taupe skirt, and ankle booties, for a look to wear at the office or a casual night out!
The Main Strip Frayed Vneck Sweater is the kind of quintessential piece for your wardrobe! No matter what the temperature may be outside this sweater will be there for any look. Now sweater weather can officially last forever (maybe without the cold weather part though). To shop these looks be sure to head to Gliks.com!
Can we talk about lace up sweaters for a minute?
It’s no secret; sweaters are a wardrobe staple and will never go out of style. Personally, there’s nothing I love better than a basic, chunky knit sweater. Well, that was the case until lace up sweaters started popping up all over my Instagram feed.
The lace up trend elevates a basic sweater into something much more stylish and coveted. Just add a cute pair of ankle boots and simple accessories, and voila! Instant #fashionblogger style status with minimal effort. This alone is reason enough for me to get behind a trend.
This updated style gives a different vibe than a traditional chunky kit. You can easily wear a lace up top off the shoulder for a look that’s a little sexy, or you can wear it as is for an every day look. One sweater that can be styled two different ways? All the more reason to love a good lace up top!
Because lace up sweaters are a little more open, you’ll be able to take them from fall to winter to spring with ease. Major bonus points for versatility.
I’m also really loving sweaters that lace up the back. This detail adds an unexpected twist that takes a piece from basic to B-A-M!
Leave a comment and let me know what you guys think of the lace up trend!
Are you sick of your leather and denim jackets? Say no more! The bomber jacket is the jacket of the year for 2016. You won’t want to miss out on this trend!
Women’s Bomber Jacket
BB Dakota Atwood Bomber Jacket | Z Supply Tee | Kancan Jeans
The bomber jacket has replaced all denim and leather jackets. This easy to layer jacket will be your go to item this season. We’ve paired our BB Dakota Atwood Bomber Jacket over one of our favorite basic tees and ripped skinny jeans.
Dress down your bomber jacket with a sports look by throwing this jacket over a graphic tee. Top off your outfit with a leather or suede baseball hat. With these key items, you will nail the street-style look!
With bomber jackets, you have unlimited possibilities when it comes to styling them. Dress up these jackets by wearing them over a dress or paired with a skirt, either way you will look super chic. Pair this outfit with your favorite booties and you will have the perfect look for a night out with the girls.
For an effortless look on those colder days, wear your bomber jackets with a lightweight sweater and a scarf. To complete the look add a beanie to your outfit. With the various options, you won’t go wrong adding this trendy little number to your closet!
Men’s Bomber Jacket
Bomber jackets aren’t just for the ladies. We’ve spotted a few of our favorite male celebrities wearing these jackets. Adam Levine and Ryan Gosling were both spotted in bomber jackets. And, of course Pharrell Williams was spotted rocking a floral bomber jacket (which only he could pull off!).Quilted Bomber Jacket | Long Sleeve Curved Hem Tee |Jogger Pants| Converse Shoes
Inspired by the bomber jacket trend, we paired our PX Clothing Quilted Bomber Jacket with a basic long sleeve tee and joggers. Our choice of shoe was a pair of classic black Converse. To complete the look, we added a black Neff beanie. With this bomber jacket, you will never look back on your leather or denim jackets!
The terms “lace up” or “criss cross” may cause you to immediately think of lingerie or a risqué Halloween costume, but a strappy neckline doesn’t have to be intimidating (or a look reserved for night time). This trend is something you can work into your every day wardrobe. In some cases, it’s even suitable for work.
A criss cross neckline add a subtle, slightly rebellious, detail that elevates even the most basic pieces. One of our favorite criss cross tees is available here in multiple colorways and sleeve lengths.
You’ll want to add a few (or three or four) to your wardrobe ASAP.
A criss cross bralette can be paired with a v-neck or lower scoop neck top so the strappy piece peeks out at the neck and amps up the overall look.
Criss cross bralettes also work well with off the shoulder shirts. Not only do they add a little extra coverage if you don’t want to completely bare your shoulder, but it also adds an element of edge to your outfit.
Another way to rock a detailed neckline is a lace up or criss cross dress. A dress with a trendy neckline eliminates the need for a necklace, but can be paired with a choker necklace for extra style points.

Hello, Sweater Weather…
As hard as it may be to say goodbye to your warm-weather wardrobe, it’s officially time to pack away your breezy blouses and revamp your sweater collection. The piece to have this fall is a plaid poncho. These easy layering pieces are ultra comfortable and pack a serious style punch.
Our new plaid ponchos are crowd-pleasers across the board- perfect for busy moms who are constantly on the go or even college-age fashionistas.
These poncho sweaters will look best worn over basic pieces, so you can rest assured you already have plenty of pieces in your wardrobe to layer with. You should keep the rest of your outfit fairly simple and let the plaid poncho be the focus.
Shop our plaid ponchos and more fall fashion at your local Glik’s, or visit us online at Glik’s.com!
These bottoms fit like leggings, but give the illusion of real pants. Yes, please.
Both comfortable and on-trend, moto leggings pass the leggings-as-pants test because of one thing: the details. There are ribbed panels above each knee and zippers at the ankles, giving these pants an edgy but still very wearable look.
Moto pants will elevate any outfit, no matter how casual. Keep scrolling to see how we’re wearing moto-inspired leggings this season.
Moto Pants + Z Supply
We paired our olive green moto pants with a faux suede Z Supply tee and black ankle boots. Hitting right about the ankle, these pants are the perfect length to wear with short boots.
Moto Leggings + Freeloader
This is the outfit you’ll never want to take off (and I don’t blame you). This Freeloader clothing cardigan is made with a tiger brush fabric that is cozier than cozy. We had to throw another Z Supply tee underneath because they are just that comfy.
Moto Leggings + Camo Jacket
Rock two trends in one outfit with a cool camouflage jacket and black moto leggings.

Another season, another chance to vamp up your wardrobe!
With the official beginning of fall coming in a few short weeks, it’s time to find pieces you’ll want to wear all season long. Thankfully, bringing new life to your closet doesn’t mean you have to break the bank. I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite must-have pieces that are all under $50. Feel free to do a little happy dance.
It’s time to bust out the booties! There are two major factors to consider when buying a new pair of ankle boots: color and comfort. Taupe, black, and brown are three colors that you’ll get a ton of wear out of this season and next.
As the temperatures drop, you’ll need a good pair of jeans in your rotation. KanCan Jeans are not only affordable, but they also fit like a dream! At only $39 for most styles, consider adding a pair of mid-rise and low-rise skinnies to your denim collection.
Nothing says fall fashion like a Piko top! There are so many colors and styles to choose from at Glik’s, but this burgundy tunic is one of my favorites for autumn.
Is it really even fall if you’re not wearing a vest? My all time favorite quilted vests are from Thread and Supply. The quality of these vests is amazing for the price point and the selection of colors makes it impossible to choose just one!
It’s not all about bundling up this season, especially at the start. I love this olive green dress from Blu Pepper. The lace up neckline is perfectly on-trend, plus it’s a style steal at only $39.
Lastly, accessories are just as important as your outfit itself. My favorites for fall include CC Beanies, a cute plaid scarf, a lace bralette, and a black choker necklace. Any of of theses pieces will instantly elevate your #ootd.
Ever wonder how to get the perfect tucked in shirt? Follow our four easy step-by-step guides below to master the trend and tuck in your shirt like a pro!
The Side Front Tuck
- Start with a slightly oversized top. A short sleeve Piko shirt is a perfect option!
- Take a small section at the hem between your navel and hip and tuck into your waistband.
- Slightly pull both sides for more a relaxed look.
The Front Tuck
- Start with a basic tee or tank. We used a nautical striped shirt from Jolie clothing!
- Grab a small section at the hem directly below your navel.
- Twist the section and put into your waistband.
The Half Tuck
- Start with a button up top. We used a Polly and Esther plaid shirt.
- Beginning at the bottom, unbutton the shirt until the buttons meet the waist of your pants.
- Tuck in one side. It doesn’t matter which side you choose!
- Tug slightly on the tucked in side.
The Full Tuck
- Start with a fitted top. The less fabric you have gathered at your waist, the better!
- Completely fold into your waistband.
- Raise both arms over your head. This will evenly pull out the fabric and give this look a more relaxed vibe.
- Finish this look with a belt or wear as is!
