If you’re just as obsessed with Piko tops and dresses, then Glik’s newest arrivals will have you doing a happy dance! These brand new styles are equally as comfortable as your already beloved Piko tops and come in brand new cuts and colors!
I’ll be frank; there have been times when I’ve asked myself, staring at my closet, “How many Piko shirts do you really need?” That question becomes easier to answer with every new style of Piko dress or shirt we receive. I. Need. All. Of. Them.
The Piko tunic is basic enough that you can pile on accessories, or it can look just as chic paired with a simple choker and topknot. You can also opt to wear a bralette underneath to add a little more coverage.
If you’re into the oversized look, you could style one of these dresses as a top. Simply throw on your Piko with skinny jeans, tuck in the front, and viola! Look at you, stepping outside the style box.
There’s not a single style of Piko that disappoints. From the keyhole tops, to criss cross dresses, to basic Piko tops and dresses, there’s a fit that works for every body!
Spring is quickly approaching and this warm weather is just teasing us to buy new clothes! As we set a side our sweaters, I’ve picked up this Volcom Duster and paired it with my favorite destructed Kancan Jeans. I’ve layered this beautiful floral duster over a basic tee with a bralette. I’ve completed my outfit with a pair of peep toe shoes and some accessories. This outfit will be the perfect transition from winter to spring!
It’s no secret; sweaters are a wardrobe staple and will never go out of style. Personally, there’s nothing I love better than a basic, chunky knit sweater. Well, that was the case until lace up sweaters started popping up all over my Instagram feed.
The lace up trend elevates a basic sweater into something much more stylish and coveted. Just add a cute pair of ankle boots and simple accessories, and voila! Instant #fashionblogger style status with minimal effort. This alone is reason enough for me to get behind a trend.
This updated style gives a different vibe than a traditional chunky kit. You can easily wear a lace up top off the shoulder for a look that’s a little sexy, or you can wear it as is for an every day look. One sweater that can be styled two different ways? All the more reason to love a good lace up top!
Because lace up sweaters are a little more open, you’ll be able to take them from fall to winter to spring with ease. Major bonus points for versatility.
I’m also really loving sweaters that lace up the back. This detail adds an unexpected twist that takes a piece from basic to B-A-M!
Leave a comment and let me know what you guys think of the lace up trend!
While dark green is not the usual suspect for a spring/summer color palette, the hue is taking over the world of fashion in a big way. Gone are the days when neutral colors strictly included blacks, whites, and tans. Say hello to your new go-to color: green.
Whether it’s a military green or a shade of olive, this is a trend you’ll want to try. Here are a few of my favorite ways to wear fashion’s army green trend:
Olive green pants are a must thing spring! Balance out wearing colored bottoms by pairing them with a neutral top. Try a black cold shoulder shirt layered over a lace bralette for the perfect #ootd this spring.
An army green dress will be a staple in your spring/summer rotation. A piece like this can be worn dressed down with Converse shoes and a jean jacket, or you can dress it up by pairing it with a statement necklace and cute sandals.
You can also rock two trends at once with an olive green shirt and white skinny jeans! A look like this can easily take you from a long day in class to a night out with friends in no time!
We’ve seen it in the ’90s and then again in 2011 and now its back! This color block trend for 2016 is much different from what we have seen in the past. In 2011, the color block fashion that was trending was pairing colored pants with a different colored top. Now, this fashion trend is all in one piece. A brand that we love at Glik’s, Vanilla Bay, does this trend the right way with their shirts and dresses!
Styling Color Block Fashion
This Vanilla Bay Short Sleeve Color Block Shirt is one of our favorites here at Glik’s! Coming in two colors, Sky Blue and Coral, this shirt is color blocked with white and features a beige left chest pocket. Pair this adorable fashion top with our Flying Monkey Jeggings for a slimming look that everyone will love!
This Vanilla Bay Color Block Maxi Dress is perfect for any type of activity. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone with this bold maxi dress. Color blocked with ivory and three shades of blue, this maxi dress will look stunning on just about anyone! Style it up with a statement necklace and your favorite sandals!
This Vanilla Bay Color Block Maxi Dress is a personal favorite of mine. The bright yellow coloring just screams summer! This maxi dress is color blocked with white, giving it a simple yet elegant look. Dress this beautiful dress up with a statement necklace and a pair of wedges and enjoy a nice night out with the girls!
From Vanessa Hudgens to Kate Hudson to your favorite fashion blogger on Instagram, every free-spirited babe is rocking the boho chic look this spring. If your inner hippie is begging to be let loose when you see boho looks, don’t be afraid to let her out to play!
Printed pants are the piece to try if you want to dip your toes in the tie-dye water without fully submerging yourself in a boho look.
A printed pant can put off a laid-back flower-child vibe without giving the appearance of trying too hard. Take a nod from gypsy queen Kate and style a relaxed fitting pair with a solid colored Piko top, beaded necklace and round sunglasses. Complete your look with strappy gladiator sandals on your feet and loose beachy waves in your hair.
Flared printed pants paired with an off the shoulder shirt can also help you embrace your inner boho chic fashionista. A solid colored top can easily balance out intricately patterned bottoms. Don’t forget to add long, layered necklaces and platform sandals for a bohemian style look that’s Instagram worthy.
If you’re like me, you’re probably now head over (gladiator) heels in love with bohemian style. Find inspiration in these boho-meets-street-style looks and add your own personal touches to make them reflect your inner flower child. I suggest a half-up boho bun hairstyle or go all out and make your own flower crown.
Get your finger on the pulse of one of spring’s hottest fashions: cold shoulder tops.
You’ve probably been noticing exposed shoulders popping up in all of your favorite stores and while you may still be on the fence about why you should dare to bare, here are three reasons why you should take the risk.
3 Reasons to Love Cold Shoulder Tops
You don’t have to bare it all.
Open shoulder tops are a happy medium between completely baring your shoulders and keeping covered up all spring. Plus, this style of top doesn’t require fussing with a strapless bra and you can still comfortably wear a cami underneath.
It’s a high fashion trend that translates into real life.
There are times when Fashion Week hits, insanely hot styles are shown on the runway, and then we all think to ourselves, “How the heck (or where on earth) would I wear that?” Cold shoulders are a welcomed exception to this fashion conundrum.
This silhouette has staying power.
Trends come and go but that is no reason to shy away from buying a cold shoulder shirt. If you’re focused on building a better wardrobe and shying away from fast fashion pieces, a cold shoulder top is still a piece to consider investing in because they have been (and will continue) to show up season after season.
Don’t get me wrong, I love fall/winter fashion but by the beginning of January, I’m ready for something new. Bring on the pretty pastels, lightweight fabrics, and shorter hemlines. Am I right?
Thankfully, our women’s buying team recently took a trip to L.A. and got to see what’s trending for spring 2016. If you’re like me and need the promise of new fashion on the horizon, take a look at some of the amazing pieces they saw.

A wise person once said, “Life is too short to wear boring clothes.” And they were right! So this season, add a little color to your wardrobe with our Flying Monkey Colored Jeans. The Flying Monkey Colored Denim offers the same style, stretch, and comfort as the regular denim, but with added style.
These hued jeans can be styled to fit your style and personality. You can wear the jeans to match the rest of your ensemble or to add pizzazz to a somewhat basic outfit. Either way, the splash of color from your colored denim will be the focal point of your outfit.
A warm-weather wardrobe that includes bright colors can help drive away the winter blues and brighten your mood. You can pair these brightly colored skinny jeans with contrasting combinations to create an interesting and eye-catching look.
With spring break approaching, it’s time to start thinking about the condition of our closets. Hot spring/summer fashion is already hitting Glik’s, and we couldn’t be more excited! Colors are getting brighter, and the weather will soon turn warmer. Pocket Tees and Colorblocking
These trends are still hot and you will be seeing them in brighter colors with new designs for spring.
Preppy Clothing for Women
Southern prep is leading the prep scene with brands like Vineyard Vines, Southern Shirt Company, and Southern Tide. The preppy gal is multi-dimensional wearing everything from oversized printed tees layered with puffer vests to classy wovens layered under knit tops with pearl accessories.
Anchor and nautical prints are still the perfect way to freshen your spring and summer wardrobe. Add in some Sperry Top-Siders and your look is golden.
White is in! And it seems the more the better. From jackets, vests, tops, and bottoms, you can style out this trend to fit your individual style.
The treasured fall cardigan will transition into spring as a lightweight kimono. Yeah. We’re excited about that too.
The fringe frenzy lives on this spring. You’ll find this trend in more than just your typical boho and festival inspired wear.
Boho fashion is thriving, and we are excited to see the new product for spring and summer. New brands like Amuse Society have taken this trend and infused it with other beachy elements to bring this fashion to a whole new level.
