I love fall and dressing up in my boots and scarves. The outfit featured above is all on sale this week! This Piko sweater is $5 off and will be a must have item for fall. It is so simple and pairs perfectly with any scarf. I have paired this Piko sweater with a fringe scarf. This scarf is only $6.99 and comes in so many different colors. The jeans I paired with this outfit are Flying Monkey Jeans and they are only $19.99. This is an item I would stock up on! These jeans are jeggings and are seriously so comfortable! I completed my outfit with a pair of tall riding boots. These boots are currently $10 off and will be your go-to boots this fall!
Typically, when I think of boot socks, I imagine pairing them with classic riding boots. However, I’ve seen a ton of fashion bloggers and Instagram stars wearing a pair scrunched down with ankle boots. So unexpected and so cute! The key to achieving this look is to find a pair of socks that aren’t too thick and can be pushed down a few inches above your boots.
Boot Socks + Riding Boots
For a classic look, boot cuffs also look great with riding boots! The important thing to remember when styling your socks or boot cuffs with taller boots is to choose a pair that is long enough to peek above the top of the boot. This looks best with skinny jeans or leggings!
Thankfully, these adorable accessories are starting to hit gliks.com! If you’re looking for a little something extra to pair with your dresses, skinny jeans, and Piko sweaters this season, we’ve got you covered.
Once you grab a pair (or two), I’d love to hear how you style your boot socks! Are you stepping outside the box and wearing them with ankle boots? Or are you staying perfectly classy and pairing your boot socks with riding boots?
With the true beginning of boot season upon us, I couldn’t contain my personal excitement when Sorel Boots came back again to Glik’s. Not only do all of these women’s boots have durable and waterproof exteriors, they’re also extremely fashionable. It feels like a struggle every year to find boots that can stand the harsh winter weather and still look polished, so opening a box of Sorel Boots for the first time felt a bit like having my cake and eating it too.
Sorel has perfected their selection of winter boots this season by offering a diverse selection of styles including: duck boots, ankle boots, riding boots. They’ve even crafted a work wear inspired boot that should be every woman’s off-duty essential.
I was already sold on Sorel Boots based on their high quality construction and fashionable designs, but after digging a little deeper into the brand, I discovered that Sorel is a proud partner of Girls Inc., an organization that “inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold.” Striving to help empower and uplift girls, Sorel provided boots to young women through Girls Inc. preparing for their journeys off to college.
If you’re now just as hyped up about these shoes as I am, head to our website and check out our entire selection of Sorel Boots!
College football season is now in full swing and admittedly, that means almost to nothing to me. I couldn’t tell you the difference between a first down and a field goal, but I do appreciate all the game day fashions (ohhh and the tailgating food)! However, I know some of you ladies out there take your game day attire just as seriously as the guys take the games, so I’ve put together a little outfit inspiration to make sure you are game day ready!
Depending on what school you go to, game day outfits range from t-shirts and jeans to dresses and pearls.
If you are going to take a dressier approach, it’s always fun to find a dress in your school colors. I’m loving this plaid Love Stitch Clothing shirt dress paired with a Thread and Supply quilted vest. Not only do these pieces come together for an adorable game day outfit, but you’ll most definitely be able to wear them again.
Now, let’s take a second to appreciate these boots.
If your tailgating style is more relaxed, you can’t go wrong with a fun graphic t-shirt and a plaid scarf. This look is for all of my girls who don’t want to sacrifice their comfort for style, especially when trying to get their grub on before the game.
All my laid-back ladies, you can still add some personality to your comfortable game day style. An easy way to do that is rocking embellished denim like these Rock Revival Jeans.
Your footwear choice for the day is just as important as the rest of your outfit. Not only do these fringe boots have personality, but they are also comfy enough to take you from tailgating to the game to the after party.
No matter what school you go to or what your style is, the important thing is to show your support for your school and of course, have fun!
Combat boots are still a vital part of boot fashion this year. Not just limited to the edgy rocker girl, the combat boot can be worn by the most feminine of women to create a perfect contrast of soft and hard. Throw caution into the wind and pair your combat boots with your skinny jeans.
The riding boot is the poster child for the fall season and can be worn comfortably by everyone. Commonly seen with zippers and decorative buckles, tall riding boots are worn with colored, patterned and classic skinny jeans. Kick it up a notch by accessorizing with boot socks.
Pairing your skinny jeans with your ankle booties is not only fashion forward, but it also accentuates the shape of your legs giving you a lean and flattering shape. Wear this look with your favorite oversized sweater for a stylish and comfortable outfit. Ankle booties with skinny jeans will always take your style to the next level.
Fringed Moccasin Boots
We are in a fringe frenzy this season! From scarves and cardigans to the boots on your feet, we can’t get enough of this trend. Style these fringed moccasin boots with skinny jeans, a Navajo cardigan, and a headband this fall for an extra boho chic look.
Boot Accessories with Skinny Jeans
Layering is the best part of fall fashion. Boot cuffs and socks are a great way to add extra layers and flair to your ensembles this fall.
You don’t have to be a cowgirl to rock Western style boots. Western boots look amazing with dresses and jeans alike. They are a key factor is pulling off the hippie/bohemian style that is so popular today. Western style boots look particularly good with lace, fringe, or printed tops.
Combat boots are great to have in your wardrobe because they can be styled so many ways. These boots lend an edgy, up-to-date look to so many outfits, and are versatile enough to be paired with anything from jeans to dresses or shorts. There is also no limit to when you can wear combat boots because they are in style every season of the year.
Every girl needs a pair of tall riding boots in her wardrobe. Riding boots transform a variety of different outfits from trendy to chic. They are also practical because their height helps keep you warm during the fall and winter!
A subtle way to follow the boot trend is to rock a pair of casual ankle boots. They look ever-so-stylish with a pair of skinny jeans or jeggings. Ankle boots or booties are great if you want to make your legs appear longer and the slight heel makes your legs look amazing.
It is essential to have a pair of dress boots in your closet for special events and occasions where casual boots just won’t cut it, i.e. date nights. It is very appropriate, especially during the fall, to wear dress boots with dresses and skirts when more elegant fare is required.
If you have been out shopping lately, I am sure you have seen all of the fall clothing hitting stores. I don’t know about you, but I am SO excited to start wearing my cardigans, scarves, and boots. Layering clothing for the fall gives you the opportunity to show your creativity and style. Glik’s can help you find those essential layering pieces for fall!
The first fall essential on our list is the thin cardigan. Thin cardigans can be your best friend since they are easy to layer and create an effortless, yet stylish look. Our Poof Cardigans are the perfect thin layering sweater. You can be super trendy this fall season by throwing a cardigan on over your jumpsuits, rompers, or dresses.
Button-ups can be used to really elevate your outfit. If you have a plain sweater and need to spice it up a little, try pairing it with a patterned button-up. Button-up shirts also look great left open with another shirt underneath. Pairing plaid button-ups with graphic tees will create a huge statement this fall.
Who doesn’t love scarves!? If you are ever in need of an accessory to complete your outfit, a scarf is your go-to piece. Scarves are comfortable to wear and look amazing when layering your outfits. If you are hesitant to wear scarves because you would rather show off your necklaces– no worries! Layering scarves and necklaces together is super cute and trendy. Wear your necklace on the top of your scarf or vice versa this fall.
If you still want to wear leggings this fall, you are in luck! Leggings are great for layering and look great with tunics and dresses. For this look, we paired a plain dress with a fun patterned legging. It really adds character and personality to an otherwise simple dress! Another reason we love leggings is the fact that they look great tucked in tall riding boots or combat boots. (And they are oh, so comfortable!).
Last, but certainly not least on our list, is the chambray shirt. If you don’t already have a chambray shirt you must get one! We are in love with this Ellison brand chambray button-up shirt. Anyone can style this chambray shirt to cater to her personal style. Layer it with scarves, button-up shirts, and sweaters for an uber chic style.
