Shoes That Won’t Hurt Your Feet or Your Budget

Adorable and Afforable (1)

Finding adorable and affordable shoes for your closet can be a pain. Especially in the summer time because we all know flip flops are not exactly known for their supportive soles. Here at Glik’s we actually have a large selection of shoes that will support your feet and your wallet. cc

City Classified Shoes | $29

City Classified Shoes Comfort Andro Wedge Heels in Tan were made for your busy lifestyle.  They look like your classic micro wedge heel, but really they are jam packed with comfort. With a lined and padded footbed and a soft foam padding you’ll be able to wear these shoes all day!

Sperry Top Sider | $60

I love Espadrilles. Love them. But typically they have little to no sole or cushioning. This is where Sperry saves the day. Almost all their shoes have a memory foam footbed, ya know the stuff that people make mattresses out of? Yeah, these shoes are so comfy you could basically sleep on them.

Mia Shoes | $30

The Mia Shoes Lynn Strappy Sandals in Black and in Cognac are such a treat for a pair of strappy sandals. These gladiator style shoes have a super padded rubber outsole and footbed. Cute and actually a wearable sandal?! Get one in both colors, because these are going to be your summer staple.

Adorable and Afforable

Sanuk Yoga Sandals | $38

Okay, these shoes are kind of a no brainer with a name with the word yoga in it. You can also get these fun knitted sling style uppers in so many styles or colors. The footbed is made out of yoga mats, so you can definitely skip the yoga class, and get your Namaste on with the Sanuk Yoga Sandals.

Qupid Shoes | $20

Qupid shoes are great for their comfortability factor, since they all have a lightly cushioned footbed and a low price point. But my favorite Qupid Shoes lately are the Comfy Banded Slides that come in Carmel, Black, and White. These Comfy shoes are an ideal summer footwear option, they give you that simple sandal silhouette with a comfortable footbed.

With this selection of shoes at Glik’s you can have comfortable, trendy shoe styles without breaking your budget. For more styling tips and ideas be sure to check out Gliks’ Instagram! Happy shopping ya’ll!

What to Wear with Wedges

Do you have your eye on a cute pair of wedges but don’t know what to wear them with? Well we’ve got it covered! We have paired some of the most stylish trends, including dresses, jumpsuits and shorts, with our new summer wedges so you can get ideas on what to wear with wedges!

Printed and patterned shorts are so popular during the summer, and it is apparent why. Wearing shorts is the perfect way to show off those great legs and your sun-kissed skin. Wedges are also a great way to enhance your legs by accentuating your calves. Here we have paired this adorable outfit with a pair of Bamboo strappy wedges. The straps help the shoe appear less bulky while at the same time complimenting the outfit.

Skinny Jeans

Everyone has that favorite pair of skinny jeans. Skinny jeans look great with a closed-toe boot style wedge. Here we have paired these dark wash Flying Monkey skinny jeans with a sequin crop top and the City Classified Desert Wedges. These shoes are comfortable and easier to wear than stiletto heels, so you can still add height without sacrificing comfort.

Bootcut Jeans

Flared leg and bootcut jeans are popular and can look great with wedges. The wedges and jeans would look best paired together if the bottom of the jean covers most of the wedge. You do not want the jeans too short or too long. If they are too short, most of the wedge will be shown and your legs will appear shorter. If the jeans are too long, the edge of the hem will fray and look worn. Here we have paired a pair of LA Idol bootcut jeans and a patterned tank top with a pair of Volatile wedges.

Very Volatile Wedges

We love jumpsuits. They are definitely for the bold and daring and when styled properly can be the highlight of your wardrobe. We paired this black and tan strapless jumpsuit with 5 inch platform wedges for extra drama. If you are going to be daring by wearing a jumpsuit why not go all out and wear dramatic wedges?

High-Low Maxi Dress

Here we have paired a high-low maxi dress with a pair of rose gold Volatile wedges. When choosing wedges to pair with dresses try to pick wedges that match the formality of the dress. (Although a pair of polished wedges can make a casual dress more formal.) You do not want your shoes to diminish the elegance of the dress. Also, you may not always want your shoes to be the center of attention. For best results, your shoes and dress should show some cohesion.

Shorter Dresses

In the summertime, wear wedges with short dresses for a totally fashionable look. You have the luxury with a lot of short dresses to dress them up or leave them casual. Here we paired a casual cobalt blue high-low dress with fun jewelry and wedges. Since the dress is a solid color, you are able to wear wedges with print and patterns. The color in the pattern of this fun pair of Volcom wedges really compliments the color of the dress. On the other hand, we have this floral sheath dress that is paired with a dressier pair of black faux suede wedges.
