The Perfect New Year’s Eve Outfit

2017

How are you celebrating New Year’s Eve this year? Whether you are going out with your best friends or staying at home with your loved ones, it’s always fun to dress up! Although glitter is a girl’s best friend, we are straying away from the sparkly look this year. We are ringing in the New Year with some of 2016’s favorite trends, such as the cold shoulder, criss-cross necklines, peep toed booties and choker necklaces.

New Year's Eve Outfit 1

NEW YEAR’S Eve OUTFIT #1:

Step into 2017 with the latest fashions. We took our Elan Cold Shoulder Striped Dress and paired it with Jessica Simpson Peep Toe Booties for an effortless look that everyone will love! Complete your outfit with a Kendra Scott necklace.

Now that your outfit is covered, let’s talk about hair and make-up! No matter what length of hair you have, beach waves are always a good idea. Grab your curling wand and add some loose curls to that beautiful hair of yours. Top your look off with a smoky-eye and some red lipstick.

NEW YEAR’S Eve OUTFIT #2:

Perfect for a night out with the girls, this BB Dakota fur vest will leave you looking remarkable this New Year’s Eve. We layered this beautiful vest over a Wishlist Criss-Cross Sweater and a pair of black Flying Monkey Jeans. Keep the choker trend going by adding a Pink Pewter Choker necklace to your outfit.

Keeping the hair and make-up simple will do the trick for this look. A low pony and your favorite studs is all you will need. Adding shimmery eye shadow and nude lipstick will give this natural look a little sass!

New Year's Eve Outfit 3

We’ve paired this Lace Up Dress with Jessica Simpson booties and a Pink Pewter Choker Necklace, that can also play the role of a head band. This look will have everyone’s heads turning!

Now that your outfit is on point, let’s make your hair and make-up just as pretty! A half up top knot messy bun with a few curls will do the trick to complete this look. Adding a smoky eye and a soft pink lipstick will leave you looking flawless all night!

Fall Fashion Finds Under $50

Another season, another chance to vamp up your wardrobe!

With the official beginning of fall coming in a few short weeks, it’s time to find pieces you’ll want to wear all season long. Thankfully, bringing new life to your closet doesn’t mean you have to break the bank. I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite must-have pieces that are all under $50. Feel free to do a little happy dance.

It’s time to bust out the booties! There are two major factors to consider when buying a new pair of ankle boots: color and comfort. Taupe, black, and brown are three colors that you’ll get a ton of wear out of this season and next.

As the temperatures drop, you’ll need a good pair of jeans in your rotation. KanCan Jeans are not only affordable, but they also fit like a dream! At only $39 for most styles, consider adding a pair of mid-rise and low-rise  skinnies to your denim collection.

Nothing says fall fashion like a Piko top! There are so many colors and styles to choose from at Glik’s, but this burgundy tunic is one of my favorites for autumn.

Is it really even fall if you’re not wearing a vest? My all time favorite quilted vests are from Thread and Supply. The quality of these vests is amazing for the price point and the selection of colors makes it impossible to choose just one!

It’s not all about bundling up this season, especially at the start. I love this olive green dress from Blu Pepper. The lace up neckline is perfectly on-trend, plus it’s a style steal at only $39.

Lastly, accessories are just as important as your outfit itself. My favorites for fall include CC Beanies, a cute plaid scarf, a lace bralette, and a black choker necklace. Any of of theses pieces will instantly elevate your #ootd.

How to Style Your Piko Dresses for Fall

As the weather changes so will your wardrobe. It’s time to pack up the tank tops and shorts, and pull out the sweaters and boots. One thing I don’t want to pack up though are my dresses! I love dresses and I am always trying to find ways to style them for the fall. I’ve taken our favorite Piko Swing Dress and styled it three different ways for fall.

Layer it with a blanket scarf

If you don’t have a Piko dress in your closet, I recommend changing that immediately. Piko dresses are so simple and go perfectly with just about anything. When it comes to layering, Piko dresses will be your go to item. Throw a jacket or vest over your dress for a comfortable but yet flattering look. I’ve layered my striped Piko dress with a plaid blanket scarf. Don’t be afraid to mix your prints!

Tie it together with a plaid shirt

Plaid is the must have staple piece for fall. You can never have too many plaid button down shirts!  There are many different ways to wear a plaid shirt, you can layer it under a vest, wear it open with a V-neck tee or tie it around your waist with a dress. I took a solid color Piko Dress and tied a plaid shirt around my waist to add a pop of color to my outfit. Some would call this outfit the tomboy look, but I’ve paired it with peep toed booties for a sassier look. Trade out those booties for a pair of Converse to rock the Tomboy look!

Accessories can really make an outfit pop! I’ve taken one of my Piko Tops, this time Army Green, and added some of my favorite accessories to compete the perfect outfit for a Saturday night! Top this Piko Dress off with a hat, a long necklace, and booties for a simple look that everyone will love.Army Green Piko Dress
