The hottest trend of the summer is in full swing and can be worn in many different ways. Tie dye is taking over the fashion world and is seen everywhere from the runway to the beach. Mastering the tie dye fashion trend isn’t hard to do because there are so many options!
Tie Dye Tank Tops
First, there is the tie dye tank. Tie dye tanks can be paired with a pair of cute denim shorts and sandals, or can be worn tied up with a swim suit for the perfect beach day. The simple but sweet detail of tie dye turns a basic tank into a fun way to stand out. Wear day to night by pairing with black jeans, a choker necklace, and a bralette to complete the tie dye fashion look.
Tie Dye Dresses
Another fun way to incorporate the tie dye trend is through tie dye dresses. These dresses can range from short shift dresses and tie dyed swing dresses to tie dyed sundresses and tie dyed maxi dresses. Tie dyed dresses can we worn to almost every occasion. Tie dye shift dresses can be paired with leather sandals and a cross body for an on the go look. Tie dye maxi dresses can be paired with gladiator sandals for a fun concert look, and finally tie dye swing dresses can be worn with heels and a bralette for the perfect night on the town look! Designers are even incorporating fun little details in their tie dye fashion looks in order to make their looks stand out from the rest. Cutouts, fringe, and jewels can be added to spice up any tie dyed print.
Tie Dye Rompers
Finally, one final way to wear tie dye is also a trend itself: rompers. Tie dye rompers are the hottest way to rock the tie dye trend. They are fun, easy to wear, and can easily transition from day to night. Celebrities rock these and so can you! Elan and Ginger G brand have great styles available in the tie dye trend and range in style and color. Tie dye rompers can be paired with gladiator sandals during the day for the perfect boho look, and then can easily be paired with a kimono and wedges for an effortless date night look. Rompers are very versatile and adding the # trending tie dye trend can turn any outfit into a fun, flirty, boho look!

Every January, a group from our buying team at Glik’s attends Surf Expo, the largest and longest running surf, skate, swim and beach lifestyle tradeshow in the world. At Surf Expo, you can expect to see almost any and every major water-related brand there to introduce west coast trends to east coast retailers. Popular brands that our buying team continues to see include the likes of Roxy, O’Neil, Visla, Billabong and Amuse Society name a few.
With a motto like Beach Vida Bling, you can tell that Amuse Society isn’t just another beach lifestyle brand. They describe themselves as channeling “a rock muse on a beach holiday” which gives this beach-inspired brand an edgier look. The eclectic mixture of beach, street, bohemian and rock and roll meshes together to create a collection of apparel that can be worn anywhere from the beach (of course!) to a concert or wherever else the wind blows you. Launched in just November 2014, the premier line of Amuse Society clothingis something to get excited about!
Far from ordinary, L*Space Swimwear has suits that include intricate details and fashion forward silhouettes. L*Space’s designer, Monica Wise, gets her inspirations through her travels around the world. Her designs can be described as sophisticated beach chic, glam surfer girl, and most definitely fashion-forward swimwear.
Since it has started to get warmer and the sun has begun to shine, it is time to break out the spring and summer attire. This summer is going to be full of new hot trends to try. One of our favorite new trends is the cut-out back. Glik’s has dresses, cardigans, sweaters, and tops that feature unique cut-out designs on the backside of the garment.
There are many different ways you can wear dresses or tops with cut-out backs. One way you can flaunt the cut-out design is to bare your back. Another way is to pair your top or dress with a cute bandeau or cami. If your cut-out top is a solid color, it may be fun to pair it with a colorful bandeau or cami.
One of our favorite new brands, Amuse Society, has a lot of cut-out back details on their clothing. For instance, the Brooklyn Kimono in Leopard Print has a dramatic cut-out back that transforms a regular long cardigan into a sassy, fashion-forward piece.
New to Glik’s last November, Amuse Society has since elevated to one of our most sought after brands for spring and summer. Co-Founders Mandy and Summer have created more than just a brand–they’ve built a lifestyle. We got the chance to ask them a few questions about fashion and Amuse Society. Check out their interview below.
How did you both get started in the fashion industry?
SUMMER: I grew up in a small beach town in the seventies and I only wore bikinis. That’s where my love of fashion and swimwear began. It wasn’t until High School that I decided I wanted to devote my education to it and then turn it into a career.
MANDY: Right after high school, I headed west to California and attended design school. I thought I wanted to be a buyer, but quickly realized I had a love for design. My parents mentored me from many miles away and taught me that beyond just having creativity I had to work hard, put in the hours, and work on building relationships. This was my ticket into the fashion world!
SUMMER & MANDY: We first met while working at Roxy back in late 90’s. Mandy was a swimwear designer and I was an assistant merchandiser. The two of us have been friends for over 15 years and we have a close group of girlfriends who have kept in close contact for the same amount of time as well.
How would you describe the Amuse girl?
SUMMER & MANDY: The Amuse girl is a “rock muse on a beach holiday.” She feminine, yet tough, effortlessly cool and sexy.
Where do you get your design inspiration?
SUMMER & MANDY: We are really inspired by the amazing women around us who are chasing their dreams and making things happen! That is why we formed and continue to form a Society of these women – they are people we want to surround ourselves with, who will contribute to making this journey successful and entertaining!
What are you favorite brands to wear? (Outside of Amuse of course!)
SUMMER: I am really simple at the end of day… I have my go-to jeans and basic knits. Lately I have been abusing my old school Nikes and wearing flip-flops a lot 🙂 When I need to turn it up, it’s always black and a shade of white. I never leave home without my leather motorcycle jacket within reach!
MANDY: I love mixing my high-end denim from brands like J Brand and IRO with my Amuse pieces as well as Vintage tops and caftans. I also love Annie Bing boots, Vanessa Mooney jewelry, and Janessa Leone hats!
They can be worn during the daytime and nighttime. With just a few quick adjustments to your accessories or hair-do, you can transform a romper or jumpsuit from daytime-wear to evening-wear.
They create a polished look with just one piece. Jumpsuits and rompers are the one-stop shop when it comes to creating a chic look.
They can easily pair with fun accessories. The options are truly endless when it comes to accessorizing jumpsuits or rompers. You can add clutches, statement necklaces, bold bangles, or hats with your romper or jumpsuit.
They come in fun colors and patterns. A lot of the jumpsuits and rompers are designed with trendy floral patterns, Aztec-inspired patterns, boho patterns, or they come in fun colors for the spring and summer.
They are easy to pack to take on vacation. Unlike those bulky jeans or denim shorts, jumpsuits and rompers create a complete outfit and take up little space. So this means that you will have extra space in your suitcase for those adorable wedges or fun accessories!

The treasured fall cardigan will transition into spring as a lightweight kimono. Yeah. We’re excited about that too.
The fringe frenzy lives on this spring. You’ll find this trend in more than just your typical boho and festival inspired wear.
