2020 has already been a year to remember for so many different reasons. However, at Glik's we will be remembering this year as a brand new start for some of our stores! We have opened a few locations that we wanted to share with you, and we have revamped some stores that needed a little extra TLC. We're excited about our continued growth, and we look forward to our new Home Office and Web Distribution location that will be coming in Spring 2021!
MATTOON, IL - New Store
Happy to be BACK! Our original store in Cross County Mall closed over 20 years ago. We re-opened on March 17th and immediately closed on the 19th due to the statewide COVID-19 shutdown. But, we didn’t let that get us down!! We have gone above and beyond here in our new Mattoon, IL location and we're showing the community what great products Glik’s has to offer! We have worked closely with our Chamber of Commerce and are officially hosting our Grand Opening on August 7th. Looking forward to what the future holds for us here!

The opening of our Mattoon store was a different experience for sure! We were ready to open and only 2 days later we shut down with the craziness of the world. Two months later we were finally able to open for in-store business! It has been awesome being able to meet all of our new customers and to hear the excitement of our return for those that remember our Glik's Mattoon store from 20 years ago.

DULUTH, MN - New Store
Our Duluth Boutique is a perfect fit for the Miller Hill Mall! Customers are loving our product & Glik’s Duluth Boutique feels like “a happy place” with all the smiles on our customers' (& staff's) faces. I love hearing our customer comments like, “We really needed a store like this!" The Miller Hill Mall is on the top of the Hill which makes it an easy access to stop & shop.
*Duluth is also a very cool community and a tourist attraction on the Iron Range which draws in many outdoor enthusiasts and shoppers. It’s so fun to see our Grand Rapids & Virginia customers also shopping at this location too! It’s our unique diversity in every story that has them visiting so many locations. It always feels good to see our friends/customers stop in to shop and say hi!

So far we have had an amazing customer response to the opening of our store in Duluth! All the customers have been extremely impressed with our adorable and stylish clothing as well as the affordable pricing. The overall visitor feedback has been extremely positive! Almost every customer that comes in the store has mentioned how extremely cute our store looks, how Duluth really needed a fabulous boutique just like this one, and that they are so extremely ecstatic that we are here.😊

AUBURN, IN - Store Remodel
We were lucky to be chosen by our regional manager, LeaAnn Runyon, to receive a mini re-model. After my 20 yr career with Glik's it was fun and exciting to have an update!! My most favorite part was the family connection of us all working together to make it happen. From our operational hard work at the home office, buyers, managers and associates, especially Hillary, Elyse, Sheila, and most importantly our CUSTOMERS!!. The comments and reactions from our customers when they walked in and on our social media posts were all positive and rewarding. We are very Blessed to work for such a great FAMILY!! Bring on Fall 2020!!

CARROLL, IA - Store Remodel
Upon looking back & reading my goals for 2019 it gives me chills to see that what I had written down was truly happening!
I wanted a strong staff that would build deep relations with our customers. I wanted continued growth and actually had written down that possibly not this year but eventually I would expand our small store. To read this & see it all unfold right before me creates SO much EXCITEMENT, joy, and pride! And guess what? It is now 2020.. our team has never been stronger, our customers are coming from over an hour away just to shop with us, and now the back wall is down and we have expanded our store space and got an awesome remodel! Glik's has never been “just a job” to me. I love coming to work and admire that I get to work for a family owned corporation that let’s you make your store your very own.
After a fun demo that we got to help with and long rewarding hours put in to get the store out back together we reopened after being closed for 5 days and man did we kill it! We were up 190% in sales on the 1st Monday being open. Customers are coming from all over to check our our “new look”. The excitement is contagious and real! The store is amazing and I couldn’t be prouder of it!
