These bottoms fit like leggings, but give the illusion of real pants. Yes, please.
Both comfortable and on-trend, moto leggings pass the leggings-as-pants test because of one thing: the details. There are ribbed panels above each knee and zippers at the ankles, giving these pants an edgy but still very wearable look.
Moto pants will elevate any outfit, no matter how casual. Keep scrolling to see how we’re wearing moto-inspired leggings this season.
Moto Pants + Z Supply
We paired our olive green moto pants with a faux suede Z Supply tee and black ankle boots. Hitting right about the ankle, these pants are the perfect length to wear with short boots.
Moto Leggings + Freeloader
This is the outfit you’ll never want to take off (and I don’t blame you). This Freeloader clothing cardigan is made with a tiger brush fabric that is cozier than cozy. We had to throw another Z Supply tee underneath because they are just that comfy.
Moto Leggings + Camo Jacket
Rock two trends in one outfit with a cool camouflage jacket and black moto leggings.

As the weather changes so will your wardrobe. It’s time to pack up the tank tops and shorts, and pull out the sweaters and boots. One thing I don’t want to pack up though are my dresses! I love dresses and I am always trying to find ways to style them for the fall. I’ve taken our favorite Piko Swing Dress and styled it three different ways for fall.
Layer it with a blanket scarf
If you don’t have a Piko dress in your closet, I recommend changing that immediately. Piko dresses are so simple and go perfectly with just about anything. When it comes to layering, Piko dresses will be your go to item. Throw a jacket or vest over your dress for a comfortable but yet flattering look. I’ve layered my striped Piko dress with a plaid blanket scarf. Don’t be afraid to mix your prints!
Plaid is the must have staple piece for fall. You can never have too many plaid button down shirts! There are many different ways to wear a plaid shirt, you can layer it under a vest, wear it open with a V-neck tee or tie it around your waist with a dress. I took a solid color Piko Dress and tied a plaid shirt around my waist to add a pop of color to my outfit. Some would call this outfit the tomboy look, but I’ve paired it with peep toed booties for a sassier look. Trade out those booties for a pair of Converse to rock the Tomboy look!
Accessories can really make an outfit pop! I’ve taken one of my Piko Tops, this time Army Green, and added some of my favorite accessories to compete the perfect outfit for a Saturday night! Top this Piko Dress off with a hat, a long necklace, and booties for a simple look that everyone will love.
You can also rock a 90’s inspired girly-grunge look with a grey jumpsuit. Try tying a buffalo plaid shirt around your waist, throwing your hair in a messy topknot, and sliding on your go-to black Converse. Finish this look with an all black baseball hat and simple stud earrings.

We’ve asked a few of our buyers here at Glik’s what their favorite items were. Cam was our first pick with the Men’s Long Sleeve Hooded Raglan by 1897. Let’s see how Cam styled his raglan.
A long sleeve raglan featuring a hood that is lightweight and effortless, no matter what time of the year you wear it: spring or fall.
This raglan has all the core pieces that you will need in a pullover. The raglan sleeves on this pullover are lightweight and flexible giving you a comfortable fit for any type of activity! The drawstrings are designed from rope and are fully functional and the front of this striped pullover features a kangaroo hand pocket. This men’s hoodie offers a fresh take on the classic pullover.
Cam threw his long sleeve raglan hoodie over a drop tail tee and paired it with his favorite joggers. Staying up with the trends, he wore his classic black Converse to complete his outfit. Cam steps into the office with his backpack and is ready to work on placing orders on more hot items for our customers!
Fashion, especially fast fashion, is constantly evolving and changing. Trying to keep up on the latest trends can be more than any one person can handle. That’s where we step in and do the legwork for you so when you walk into a Glik’s, all the latest and greatest fashions are available to you without the guesswork.
One of our main resources for trend spotting is tradeshows. Our buying team recently attended MAGIC, one of the biggest tradeshows of the year. Walking through the different shows at MAGIC is like walking through a gigantic mall, on a Saturday, at noon, when every store is having a sale. Basically, MAGIC is chaos. It is wonderfully crowded with booths full of great fashion and stylish people.

1. Color is key.
Earth tones, shades of olive green, and blush are predicted to be major players for Spring 2017. These colorways were available in styles ranging from lace up ballet flats to ankle boots.
2. It’s all in the details.
Cut out details are trending now for fall and this trend shows no sign of slowing down come spring.
3. Say goodbye to the middle man.
While a classic pair of riding boots is still a style staple, ankle boots and over-the-knee boots are the next big thing in footwear. Be on the lookout for over-the-knee boots coming soon to Glik’s!
1. Stand out in camo print.
From tees to dresses to jackets, camouflage print was everywhere. This print will give you instant cool girl vibes.
2. Olive everything.
Whether it was olive green, army green, or somewhere in between, this trendy hue is at the forefront of fall fashion. This neutral shade will continue into spring 2017, so you’ll be able to wear your favorite pieces now and later.
3. Slay in (faux) suede.
This fabric is both buttery soft and oh-so-stylish. This combination leaves no doubt that faux suede is a trend to try.
POL is one of the hottest brands currently and is selling out in all Glik’s stores. Conceptualized in Los Angeles, CA., POL clothing started with humble beginnings from 2009 as a wholesale manufacturer and has blossomed since. POL is versatile, comfortable, and most importantly stylish. Regardless of age or style, POL capitalizes on everything that is trendy. POL has numerous styles ranging from tanks to dresses and cardigans. They are made out of soft fabrics and are dyed with a unique wash. Some of the most popular colors include: black, olive green, red brick, and ivory. Some designs include lace, added pockets and embroidery. POL is great for day to night outfits or just a casual outing. Here is a little outfit inspiration and reasons why we love POL! 🙂
POL baby-doll tanks are one of their most well-known styles. They are cute, comfy, and are perfect for any woman. With unique colors, styles, and trims; baby-doll tanks are a hit! POL baby-doll tanks pair well with jeans, shorts, and leggings. Also add a long fringe necklace for an added feminine touch.
POL Three QUARTERED sleeve
These shirts are perfect for comfy fall nights. They pair well with blanket scarfs and skinny jeans for a stylish fall look. They have small detailed trim for a feminine touch and have a Bohemian feel to them with their bell sleeves. Our favorite way to pair them is with leather black shorts or joggers.
POL dresses are cute and comfy! They have the same baby-doll shape as the tanks, yet are slightly more feminine. They come in swing dress designs, as well as long maxi dress designs. They also have the same lace trim detail and unique stone wash look to them. Our favorite way to wear them is with a bright colored bralette and gladiator sandals! A great way to get this look would be pairing the MIA Tall Devi Gladiators with the POL dresses.
POL womens tunics are perfect for the festival goer! They are embroidered with colorful stitching and have an added tassel for an overall boho look. They pair well with shorts or jeans. For a fun way to dress up women’s tunics, add a felt sun hat and gladiator sandals, or for your more classic women’s, tunic look add some colorful denim like these styles from Flying Monkey!
Finally, one of POL’s most feminine styles is their short sleeve backless cardigan. the cardigan is just a soft and comfortable as the rest of their pieces, but has a sweet backless detail. This little detail brings a big punch when it comes to style. It can turn any daytime outfit into the perfect going out outfit, and make any casual outfit a little bit sweeter! We recommend pairing them with racerback bralettes from Wishlist and denim for a cool street-style look.
The choker necklace is back and having a major moment; further proving that everything eventually comes back in style (hello crop tops and Birkenstocks). This trend is flooding the red carpets, featured on the covers of your favorite magazines, and impossible to miss while scrolling through the Gram. Celebrities and fashion icons alike are rocking this trend and so can you!
Adding a choker to your look will both draw attention to your neckline and frame your face. Plus, the “cool girl” vibe you’ll get from rocking this trendy accessory is a nice bonus.
YES, YOU CAN PULL OFF CHOKER NECKLACES.
Choker necklaces can work for every style from boho chic to minimalist to 90’s grunge. Don’t be afraid to pair a choker (or two or three..) with an off the shoulder shirt or a low neckline.
These short necklaces are perfect for layering, but can make just as much of a style statement flying solo. Mix and match your long chain necklaces with a single strand choker or ditch the extras and let a simple choker shine on its own!
Create a look that’s uniquely you with a cute choker necklace!
“Fast Fashion” is a new term that the fashion industry is using lately. It is changing the way consumers shop and the way retailers stock their shelves. Fast Fashion is more than just a movement, but it is causing an economic shift. However, many do not know what it even means. Retailers are able to quickly react to the popularity of certain items, and are able to hold back on items that do not do so well. Fast Fashion also allows customers to create their own sense of personal style because they are able to test out a large variety of fast fashion items.
The Process of Fast Fashion
Recently, our intern had the opportunity to study abroad in China and do research on the process of fast fashion. While in China, she observed fabric markets, fabric mills, production factories, showrooms, and finally in store layouts. Fast Fashion excels because the production line in short. One factory in China, had a production turn around of less than 30 days. This time period allowed the brand to excel and gain profit quickly, because they reacted to their customers needs quickly.
The Outcome of Fast Fashion
Due to Fast Fashion stores are able to produce and sell the trendiest outfits. There is now slight competition for who can get the product out first, however, it also allows stores to re-brand themselves constantly. Stores are able to have numerous styles in stock, with different colors, and different patterns. Furthermore, the consumer is able to be any style of shopper she wants.
Finding the perfect beach cover up is just as important as finding the right swimsuit for many reasons: 1. Just because you rock a teeny bikini doesn’t mean you want all eyes on you all day long; 2. Sunscreen can only last so long and offer so much protection; 3. Spending the day at the beach doesn’t always mean you’re staying put. If you want to leave for lunch or walk to local shops, a cover-up is a necessity.
Beach cover-ups don’t have to mean an oversized caftan that does nothing for your figure. You can easily rock a button up shirt, kimono, or even a Piko dress over your swimsuit this summer.
Not only will a cover up look great at the beach, but you’ll also be ready for after-beach dinner in no time.
Check out a few of our favorite beach cover up alternatives:
Replace your old beach cover up with a lightweight denim dress, like this one from Elan Clothing! Add a fun pair of sandals (i.e. the MIA Renata) for a playful and eye-catching look.
Repurpose that cute kimono hanging in your closet to add an effortless layer over your swim suit this summer. This fringed kimono from Hayden Clothing is the perfect option! Throw on a Natural Life Boho Bandeau to tame your beachy waves.
Covering up with a long vest is a must for two reasons: 1. You can add denim cutoffs and easily go from poolside to after-party in seconds; 2. A pretty vest, like the Verona from Jack by BB Dakota, will look just as good with your skinny jeans as it does over your bikini.
A simple tank dress as a swim cover up is a no-brainer. The Amuse Society Dani dress is lightweight enough to wear in the hot summer heat, and can easily be thrown in your beach bag when you’re ready to jump in!
