Warm Ways to Wear a Scarf This Winter

Layering is the key to staying warm this winter. Scarves are perfect for layering because they are warm, stylish, and super versatile with so many looks!

For inspiration, we referred to the book, “50 Ways to Wear a Scarf”, by Lauren Friedman. It is truly a must-have for scarf-wearers. Here are some of our favorite warm ways to wear scarves this winter…

The Flyaway Vest

A scarf doesn’t always have to go around your neck. Get more use out of your favorite scarf by creating a flyaway vest! This look can be created with an oblong scarf. We used our Looks Collections Plaid Blanket Scarf that is available in multiple colors.

  • Step 1: Fold your scarf in half widthwise.
  • Step2: Tie the two sides of the top corner together.
  • Step 3: Take the folded side that is in your other hand and bring it together with the tied side.
  • Step 4: Tie the folded side and the tied side together to make one large knot.
  • Step 5: Make sure the knot is secure.
  • Step 6: Position the scarf so you can place your arms through the holes.

The Hourglass

This look is super-fast, super-easy and a great way to accentuate your figure! To create this look, we used the Reversible Nordic Print Wool Scarf.

The Lazy Girl

The Lazy Girl style is perfect for a day when you are short on time but still want to pull off a stylish look. We used Two-Toned Check Oblong Scarf that is available in a variety of colors.

The Knot

This style puts a creative twist on a traditional way to wear a scarf. It is a great way to add some style to a simple outfit. Here we used the Two-Toned Check Oblong Scarf that is available in a variety of colors.
